I like mechanical especially where dodgy voltages in 944's can contribute to odd readings on electrrical gauges.. I have autometer gauges and am very happy with those. having said all that I have electric AF and oil temp gauges but I also have iceshark battery and ground cables and freshly cleaned up connections everywhere.

Always use mechanical if you can.

Mechanical, and VDO. The VDO model I have looks great with the factory gauges.

I too agree, mechanical is the way to go for aftermarket gauges when feasible.

Default Defi Boost

Im really happy with Defi gauges. They make autometer look like junk, tho i see them in alot of hi end ricers. I have the Defi_d gauge and i would never give it up. Look for it at horsepowerfreaks.com
