U think S2000's sound bad? 9k redline any engine will sound awesome. So the F and K engines would work in a 944? Has anyone done this yet? With so many cars in the states the K and F would seem to be plentiful....

Yes, I haven't heard any Honda I4 that I think sounds good (N/A or turbo). Then again, I don't like the sound of most I4's either.

I've never seen a K/F swap in a 944, but in theory it's possible since they rotate correctly. F might be the way to go since they came in a RWD platform so you might not have to fabricate an oil pan.

S2000 motor can sound good with the right exhaust setup - they can have the "pulses" of sound that make it grumble like a 944...I-4's are let down when the exhaust note is too smooth (like a Honda with a fart-can or a 4-1 header)

There's a guy that put an F20 into his Corolla! So the larger engine-bay in the 944 shouldn't be a problem.
