The ugliest car know to man
I saw a new Mazda RX-8 today for the first time in person. (insert pic of me vomiting) What the hell is that thing supposed to be? I wanted to run it off the road in the hope that the collision would help it out......
The front fenders look like they were stolen from a Cord or something of the like. Sorry if I offended any Cord lovers. There was not one panel on the car that I can say looked decent.

Was going to put a deposit on one but just couldnt bring myself to. Even went to test drive one again. Too gimicky, seats with cust outs, too many doors, spare tire is an OPTION, oh yeah, just plain ugly and slow and not available in white yet. No plans for a coupe either, though a Turbo is said to be coming, the price now is in the mid 30s who knows what a Turbo will run.

Yeah the RX8 is ugly and will not age well....but the Gremlin is by far uglier!!!
There are timeless designs and those designs that are penned based on what is "hip" and trendy at the time...but these age really poorly.....

I wonder how that chasis would handle 600+hp, cause that's a far cry from the 250hp the engine can't put out.

eh, i don't mind the styling. need i point you fine folks to the nissan murano, the subaru baja, or (of course) the pontiac aztec for examples of modern design failures far, far worse....

OriginalSterm, the Lotus Europa may be no swan but it was virtually a kit car with the resources of 50 guys behind it, whereas the rx8 has Mazda and Ford behind it. I think Colin Chapman did ok on the Europa considering the resources.
