Ocean Blue 951 - 2nd time I have owned this car
I am not sure if I am trying to keep up with Josh B, but I have added another 951 to my garage, and it is the 2nd time I have owned this particular car. A few months back I saw this car pop up for sale on craigslist, and I reached out to the seller just to see how the car had treated him during his stewardship. One thing led to another and it came back to Charlotte last week.
The first time I owned the car I made a few changes:
- 474 sport suspension (konis) added
- LSD transaxle swapped in
- Boxster S twists bolted up
- 968 mirrors and door handles added
- Non-Airbag dash recovered and installed (added 930 steering wheel as well)
- Full Respray in the original Ocean Blue (Nautic) paint.
- Vacuum & Fuel Lines replaced
- A-Tune & test pipe added
For the most part the car in unchanged from the day I sold it, but the new owner did take care of maintenance items, and mostly kept the car in good shape. The most interesting change while it was gone, an added hitch custom mounted to hold a bike rack.

I can relate. I did the same thing and bought my old car back after 2 years of missing it.

Ha! I just bought my 87 back after having it gone for about 7 years.
Looks like a nice car! How did you shave the rear bumper pads? Aftermarket bumper or just fill the holes?

Another one, Josh? To part or to save?
The pads were removed, and the holes were filled. It was all done when the car was painted. Also shaved off the headlight washers, and the hole for the factory alarm. I think the look fits nicely with the 968 mirros and door handles.
