Looks good...but the transfer function is going to be different. The tube is quite important and very small changes can have a pretty big impact. Do you have the tuner? I think you are going to need it.

I went though this not long ago. I also spoke to josh about numbers ect.
I made one, to exact specs. The plastic MAF tube isn't exactly round (by ~2-4mm) so my aluminium tube couldn't get the right flow though it to replicate the original one. we also tried to bore out the aluminium one further.

I can see that you need the modified one. Good luck, but you'll need the tuner also.

Tell me more - looks like I need to send the DME to Joshua for the install / upgrade.

The tuner allows you to change the MAF Compensation Table. This essentially allows you to reshape the transfer function which I definitely think you will need to do.

Project looks really good. Hope we can meet up sometime this Spring.

It is aluminum but it has a new transfer function built into the software. The transfer function for the original Mtune and the new LR Mtune are quite a bit different. Same MAF sensor in both.

Yes, the LR version is aluminum.

But the MAF sensor is different... As is the transfer function.
