Gumball 3000
Very cool. I have seen some footage of this online. Also has a website.
"This rally is one that challenges everybody! It’s non-stop action and a lot of partying. Movie stars, supermodels, sports stars, racing drivers, rock stars, entrepreneurs have already joined the Gumball 3000.
Having conquered Europe three times from 1999 to 2001, this year the rally will challenge the driver’s senses more than ever. In the spirit of the movies "Cannonball Run" and "Gumball Rally", the Gumball3000 travels 'original' Gumball route from Rockefeller Centre in New York and ending at the Playboy mansion in Los Angeles. Only 200 cars are allowed to take part in. Crazy riders from all over the world test the endurance and sheer determination of all who take part more so than ever before. This year the rally will include more action than ever punctuated by the wildest parties each evening.
This years Gumball features some of the most exotic machinery yet. Two McLaren F1's, numerous Ferrari's, Porsche, Lamborghini's are just some of the cars that are entered in the Gumball3000 from New York to Los Angeles."

That race is already over. Happened several months ago...in fact a few posters here had some really cool pics when the cars were in SF. Check the archives....must be something around here somewhere.

I watched the pay-per-view of this.
It was really actually quite funny.
an F-50 got a ticket for going 187.
A lot of people went to jail.
The vide followed dido from dtmpower.net (i think its a pay forum now)

On one of the video's i seen a bike got pulled over for not only doing 130, but he was weaving in and out of traffic, the cop just drove by the lambo (camera car) and another identical bike to pull over the guy that was weaving.
