Sure , when barry was aiming for 500bhp + running nicosil liners, but if this is only for a road car as long as boost is kept around bar , the 968 pistons should be fine.
It just depends what you are aiming for.

It just depends what you are aiming for.
He also used 968 rods didn't he ? I'd rather build an engine for 500bhp, run 400 and have plenty in reserve. I could run 340bhp on a 2.5.

I read that he did, but I used turbo rods on mine.
