I'm interested in this engine. Has it ever been used? What is the mileage? Does it come fully assembled so it can just be installed and ready to run? or does it need all accessories, like the intake, injectors, etc. If it is fully complete with turbo and everything installed and ready to go, I will buy it. My motor has quite a bit of mileage, so I'll definitely go for it. Let me know.
Thanks

Silverbullet...
I have to confirm some spes on this short block before I sell it. And, for your information, a short block does not include a head or accessories.
It's oil pan to the top of the block. That's a short block.
I just pulled the head and here's what I see so far...
It's a 101.5mm bore x 3.46" stroke. I think that puts it at 2.85 Liters.
It's got beautifil JE pistons, Carillo Rods, Raceware studs, John Milledge oil pan/pickup, and steel sleeves that have "O" rings machined in (as does the head).
The head is a CMW head with very extensive porting and bigger than stock valves, and more..... some interesting things that I've not seen before...
Short block includes the waterpump, timing covers, balance shafts, belts/rollers, etc.. all assembled (with the obvious exception that the belts have to be tensioned after the head is installed.. duh!), crank pulley installed, oil pump installed, oil filler, and more.. very complete... ready for the turbo, headers/cross over, and oil cooler housing.
The only thing the short block will need is the oil cooler assembly, alternator bracket/ac bracket installed and included, motor mount brackets instalelled and included, heat sheilds installed and included, and more.... inquire for more details...
I also have a Centerforce clutch assembly that came off this car if interested... a very nice unit for sure.

I can fully assemble the engine with a HR Stage 3.5 turbo that just got rebuilt, but not installed, headers, crossover, HR full metal jacket head gasket, etc.... upto the intake/throttle body for $6500 and I'll guarantee it to make 385RWHP at no more than 17.5psi boost.

I have a regular 2.8 short block for sale, if anyone cares.
100.5mm bore, 78.9mm stroke. New pistons and bore job, Carrillo rods, new 968 crank.
The engine is not yet assembled.

Tony, that sounds like a incredible engine, but I really can't pay 3000 extra dollars. If we can negotiate on a price, then maybe I can get it, but 6500, sorry, I can't do it. Maybe if you supplied all the parts, but they are not assembled. Can you lower the price?
Thanks for the info

TonyG-
In the event that you have trouble selling the short block as an assembled unit, drop me a line and I will pick up the crank and rods from you. My only problem with the setup is that I plan to use a bigger bore(106mm).

In case you change your mind.
