17 right now. I had it up to 18.5 last summer. Then one day on my commute home I floored it in 3rd gear to pass and the car spun tires and got sideways. That was frightening! So I turned it down a little to keep it safe.

29 on 3L 8V, what kind of numbers are you generating? That is some serious boost.

on regular pump 93, 17 psi on e85 I generally run about 18 for low boost setting and 22 for when I gotta hustle. I leave the water meth on for either fuel trigger pressure at 15.

We dyno'd at 25psi max (554whp) but ran at the track more like 22psi all on race grade E85. Did plan to turn it up a bit but one thing and another. Looking at a new larger 8v head now and will see what that gets us. The new copper gasket and beru sealing rings worked well. Having taken the head off recently they are both in great condition and will be re-used. We didn't lose any coolant with that setup.

Patrick. Was that with the old intake or new on your dyno?

Glad to hear the sealing rings are working, since we will be doing them on a couple builds.

I'm going to try to get some dyno time in tge next few weeks just to get a comparison number before pulling it apart.

We should all remember that "boost" is really a measure of restriction. With that said, I'm hoping that with my next cylinder head iteration, I'll not need to turn it up at all.

That was with new intake Sid. At 25psi we got a gain of approx 50whp, not discounting different days/conditions etc.

Yes, very happy with the sealing system! Was cheap too. Incidentally it looks like I might be running a larger 8v head on this motor next season. I'm not sure if it's been flow tested. If so, I'll get the figures. Would be very interesting and perhaps somewhere in the same cfm's as yours. Porting looks very interesting and it's got a massive cam in it. While I did want to go over to the 16v setup on this motor, I'm sort of glad that we should see something along the lines of Corleone's results with this incoming 8v version.
