Someone may want the 2.5 crank to offset grind for a stroker build.

What's the difference ? There was some debate about the 968 crank being lighter but an S2 crank could be lightened.

If somebody buys this 3.0L crank from Sam I'll make them a deal on my Carillo rods to match.

My S2 crank weights 25.9 Kg. 55lbs = 24.9kg so yours is 1kg lighter and probably 968 crank.

The S2 and 968 have different part numbers. (015 11 for S2, 015 15 for 968)

Are there any differences between the S2 and the 968 crank? Any advantages one has over the other?

I have a complete '89 (only year) 2.7L big bore on a pallet if anyone is thinking about mating the two. The easiest 3.0L turbo route. Oh yeah...new in box, last of the Mahle turbo pistons as well. Just trying to help you sell the crank

Oversize 1...104.5

But it is so cheap to punch out 4 cylinders...why wouldn't you be sure all are a perfect fit?

Agree on resizing the cylinders though it's $600+ to do Alusil properly here. Are the pistons Ferrostan or Ferroprint coating, and what price are you looking for ?
