Default Carbon Hood

I had another carbon hood made from my mold for a spare. It weighs 5-6 pounds.

Raised center tunnel is to make room for the V8 bits and cowl induction...and it looks cool.

will you switch to this one now or just keep it spare?

whats the underside look like, will it use stock hinges or is your hood pinned on?

I just love anything carbon fibre, and that looks fantastic but like above, I'd dig too see it on the car. Nice work

I'm guessing it's just a shell with no frame/latch/mounts or anything if it's only 5 lbs.

1. No hinges - 4 aero quick releases. Hinges could be glued.

2. This is an exact replica of our current hood we a running, the current hood is just wrapped.

3. We are making the front fascia in carbon next. We made the mold when the first part was made.

This is the same hood from that mold. We cut a hole in the original hood to extract heat. It will me covered with a black screen this winter. At this point it may not be necessary as we solved our overheating problem using an Evans water pump.
