Default change to stiffer front springs on M030?

is it possible to get stiffer springs to the m030 shocks?
I have replaced my m030 koni inserts to bilstein clubsport and the car is too soft with the original springs when i´m on trackdays.

Anyone know what the original spring have for inner and outer dimensions and length?

Some says the clubsport insert isn´t made for stiffer springs then original and that it´s better to change the old coilover to new bilstein coilovers (BILSTEIN AK 1110A & AK 1111A) but they cost alot of money.

in the rear i have the 25.5 mm torsion bar with bilstein coilover shockabsorber with helper spring (30N/mm) that i´m happy with

The Turbo Cup Spring set would be an option if you can find some but you may be better off converting your car to run a 2.5" I.D. spring.

Jason is right. Converting to a 2.5"ID would give you more options spring wise.

On the other hand i have a set of 944 turbo cup springs for sale. $400au plus shipping and they are yours. factory progressive 175-410 lb/in

Jason and Sean thanks for the input.
i´m leaning towards buying the BILSTEIN AK 1110A & AK 1111A and sell my m030 coilovers. that way i will get back some of the money I spend on them new Bilstein anyway.

Sean i live in sweden so shipping would probably be too expensive but
it would be nice if you can measure the inner and outer dimensions and the length of your springs

Regards
Johan

Are 2.5" lower spring perches available for the M030 front coilovers? It's my understanding the Racer's Edge 2.5" lower spring seats are no longer available, I purchased the last remaining one from them a while back. If they're being fabricated again or someone has a spare they'd be willing to part with that would be fantastic.

Yes sir, that's correct, Racer's Edge no longer makes the 2.5" lower perch. You can either switch out the threaded collar to the 55mm collars we normally use in our adjustable ride height kit or you can machine the stock lower perch to accept a 2.5" ID spring.

Keep in mind that you may still have to do some work on the Bilsteins. We've predominantly dealt with the AK-1120 and 1121 and i'm not sure if they're built the same way but for whatever reason Bilstein supplies them with 60mm lower perches. What we do is machine them down to 2.25" and then we use a Koni spacer ring to make them 2.5". The Racers Edge upper perch needs to be machined some as well to fit on the Bilstein. You'll also need to make a few spacers....one fits on the shock shaft below the strut bearing and one above.

Thanks for the response Jason. I was thinking the next best option would be to swap out the threaded collars and new lower perches. When i'm ready to spring for a pair of 3012's and PolyBronze bushings for the rear i'll be in touch.

Please pardon my naive question in advance, but are the springs you pictured (Cup Car springs ) any different from the Stock Turbo S springs ?
They look the same but looks can be deceiving
Thanks in advance
Best regards
Ed

The Cup Springs are definitely different than the stock Turbo S Springs. They're stiffer and the wire diameter is thereby larger. I'm sure I have both here somewhere. I'll try to find the stock ones and provide some dimensions.
