Default WG / EBC recommendations

Hey folks,

Subject 1: Pauer no longer supplying Tial wastegates. Where can I source a new 38mm, including all hardware to mount? Want to avoid welding and etc.

Subject 2: Recommendations on good EBC? Would like ability to fine tune (EBC) as opposed to mechanical. Seek to avoid boost spikes and achieve least variance in range of boost across all gears.

Goal for car: Still run stock boost +/- 2 psi, just get into boost quicker. Will never seek solution boosting > 15 psi (so don't need need bigger WG, etc). Also interested in eliminating a lot of the mess under the manifold as a result.

Mark, thanks. Is there a specific Profec model I should be zeroing in on? Don't need a ton of features, just would like to be able to dial (as much as is possible), the same amount of boost in each gear.

Looking online, I do think I want a digital readout - no *****.

I have the Profec B Spec II I dont have a crazy set up Im stock displacement with larger turbo injectors and maf kit my low boost setting (15 psi) is consistent in all gears +,- .8psi tops i think i get about 14.5 in 1st and a good 4th pull will push up to 15.8-16 high boost (20psi) is very similar as far as holding pressure in higher gears 1st is about 16.5-17.2ish if i remember correctly i dont play with the high boost setting much and honestly i dont really need to mess with the settings to much i just dialed it in and for the most part left it. The unit does have a **** and push buttons. Also as far as wategates I used my stock one up to 17 psi it wasnt bad but the tial transforms power delivery. IMO

I have a Tial F38 I bought from fleebay and used Fejjj's adaptors. The adaptors make it foolproof (almost...don't ask) and make the Tial a direct bolt up, with no welding or mucking about.

I sourced a used Turbosmart Eboost1, again on fleebay, but for my needs the street model would have done all I needed. I just prefered the look and display of the eboost over the street. I couldn't justify the price of a new eboost2 though and the added features of the eboost2 were not something I needed, so the used unit was a great option for my needs.

Most shops can make you an adapter set for cheap. Print this drawing in the link and make some calls and emails.

Thanks all - great stuff. As far as sourcing the 38mm, which model is everyone using (or should use)? F38, mvs-a, etc?

I run eBoost2. Love it. I have 6 boost settings. 10, 13, 16, 17, 18, 19 (reason it's like that is because on colder days, 17 turns into 18 or even 19psi and warmer days 19 turns into 18 psi)

It is very well programable, can control boost drops also. well worth the money IMO.
