As every engine compartment can be different one have to check that dimensions suit to their application.

We'll try to get figures from dyno once everything is set. Im not targetting high figures as block is not build for such, but it will be interesting to see how it works in this application.

Still like this setup: http://haywardperformance.com/intake-systems/#porsche

You can run the manifold without the ITB's and use a http://www.jenvey.co.uk/products2/tu...-inlet-aplc-70 instead...

Cheers,
Mike

Why would you want to pay UKP 640 for just a plenum? I fail to understand why anyone would pay huge money for questionable design (in intake manifild, exhaust etc) and then question the need for s a standalone for example...

The Jenvey Plenum doesn't look so different from yours in design? As for the cost, unless you are a sheet metal fabricator and can knock up something yourself, you will have to pay that sort of money for a plenum that isn't ground level super budget. For a Sand cast item that cost doesn't surprise me.

Lot of cheaper options than the jenvey plenum that have been used previously, and I doubt the jenvey would be easy to fit....

Definitely a million lower-cost options than the Jenvey - IMO they are another one of those "internet gold" items...I am sure they work great and are made beautifully, but I'd bet people buy them just to say they have them.

Would definitely use an existing OEM's small throttle body if doing ITB...idle control usually built in and parts availability potentially infinite.

Yes, that's my problem, thanks for pointing that out. Can you now please go back to your things and let others discuss if you do not have anything productive to add?

Didn't refer Jenvey as "questionable design", it was just a general observation.

Good point! Good thing I'm not in that demographic.

Anyway, GBP640 ain't what it used to be...

This intake produced 254 whp with E85 and VEMS ECU, completely stock 968 engine. With Motronic and gas it made 209 whp, with VEMS ECU 221 whp, with E85 228 whp and finally with intake 254 whp. Runs were made on Dynapack hub dyno.
It is milled in 5axis CNC (including protruding trumpets), then sheetmetal is welded to finalise the plenum. Engine resides in '82 924.
