Hi folks - its been a very busy year so far....stuck at the track on many weekends!
I thought I would share some pics from last weekends IMSA race at Watkins Glen. I took the long weekend off and parked the RV at the Glen and just enjoyed the racing. The only thing I fixed all weekend was the potable water pump on the RV.
It took a while for my hearing to fully come back on Monday. 4 days of listening to GT and Prototypes will get to you - even with hearing protection on!

Yeah, the Vettes were pretty much flawless. Endurance racing used to be Porsche's specialty but I think the rest of the world has caught up while Porsche was playing with SUVs and 4 door sedans. For most of the GT race it was Corvette 1&2, Viper 3&4 and Porsche 5&6.

BTW - the new display on the cars is great - the illuminated number on the side of the cars is there place in class. That's the only way you can follow an endurance race with lots of pit stops!

Nice pics, thanks!

Be nice to have a factory wide body kit...and spares to boot! Love the new RSR or whatever that is in the top pic. New GT Vette looks good from that angle at least. Still think it's more Transformer than Trans-Am from the rear.

Some great shots indeed! Can't say that the Vette's new look has won me over yet, but it looks pretty slick in your front shot.

Well it used to actually BE endurance racing. Not so much now. I think they need to get back to turbo race cars, in the LM Pro class. Leave the n.a. 911's in that AM class. Also, once upon a time, they were actually serious about racing to sell cars.

Anyway, great pics!
