Default clutch options.

Its finally time for the dreaded clutch job, and I've looked at a few different kits. The kit I'm interested in uses a Sachs club sport clutch disc. Is this the disc that is considered the turbo cup disc? I viewed a few images and they seem to be the same, but I wasn't sure.

I'm using a 930 clutch disc with the stock pressure plate. Seems to be holding up pretty well to 15 psi, street and track driving. It engages smoothly and feels great. What is the application for your car? Street, Track?

I'm running 20+ psi street and track application. I don't have much input on all the different clutches offered. My understanding is the 930 is a cheaper option with decent performance perks. I've read that the wear is decent as well. I believe the turbo cup clutch is the better, stronger clutch. But don't have enough info on it. Is the Sachs club sport clutch the same as the turbo cup? Images suggest so but I don't know for certain

The 944 Turbo Sport Disc p/n 1861944433 on pelican parts matches the interchangeability/reference numbers for the 944 Turbo Cup Disc on allzim's website.

Where are you looking and what part number do you have?

I really liked the 930 disc with a KEP stage 1 pressure plate. The pressure plate was rated for 500+ft-lbs with a factory disc with a very slight increase in pedal effort.

+1 on the 930 disk/KEP1, very slight increase in pedal pressure over stock. I also sent a clutch fork up to Blazak (sp?) for him to work his magic. I would highly recommend at least replacing the needle bearings with some brass bushings (Blazack does this). Have fun!

I have the KEP stage 1 and I had a cup clutch disk: 1861944433. I replace it this week with supposedly the same clutch disk, but the part numbers aren't the same. Apparently there is a new version of the cup clutch disk.

I bought it from pelican parts which still has the 1861944433 clearly visible on the picture of the part, but I got the new version.

I haven't driven the car yet with the new clutch, but hopefully it's the same or better.
