Unhappy Time to say goodbye

Hi Friends,

I have been kind of quiet the last years, older mebers might still remember me though.
Just a message to tell you that my 951 has been sold, tomorrow it will go on a truck to Spain, 2500 km away, to a new owner.
Due to my condition, CFS, I cold not drive it anymore, and it is a pity to just have it standing around.
So we rebuild it, restored it to all its former glory, with a fresh engine.

Even got some extra's it never had, airjacks. The new owner is finishing the build on my 2.8 engine, so it will be faster than it has ever been. Hope he will have as much fun with it as I had.

So now it is time to say goodbye, thank all of my friends here for the good advice and the friendly words.
Wish you all the best with your wonderful cars!

HansB

Do you have any pictures of your door windows? I never noticed those before and really like that look/idea.

Also, there's no need to leave just because you sold your car. We need the wisdom and help of the old timers around here. If nothing else, perhaps you can enjoy the tribulations of 951 ownership by sticking around!

Best of luck to you!

HansB, I remember you! Always loved your car. Sorry you have to get out of racing, but at least you were able to enjoy some time with that beautifully engineered car.

Hans, your car was always one of the very best on this forum and perhaps only equaled by your friendly and open posts regarding it. I was only speaking about you and the car recently and it will be a great pity not to have you around. I agree, please do drop by from time to time. I'm sure I speak for everyone in saying you're always welcome and of course we wish you the best in dealing with your condition.

Best regards

We hope you're feeling better soon, Hans. Your car is one of the few I lust after...

And thank you for dropping by occasionally to share your wisdom.

What he said.

Stick around, we need experienced 951ers.

The car looks amazing.

Good luck!

What a beautiful car !! Just stunning!
I can't say I seen mirrors like that on a 951 before?
Those look nicer than the 968 mirrors
The hood, rear spoiler, paint job ... unreal ...
Wishing you only the best with your health
Kind regards
Ed

Here's a sample of what Hans contributed to this place. Not too many more detailed threads that I can remember. :-)
