Default Rogue A-Tune

I was recently reunited with my 951 after a 5 yr hiatus and have been pleasantly thrilled to see all the new performance mods available. Its like a bit of a time warp. For the Rogue tuning users, excuse the dumb question, but does the A-Tune also include a KLR chip? I saw no mention of this on the site. If not included, how does that work with higher boost settings?

I have some old school Steve R chips I installed almost 8 yrs ago and had to swap out the 28 pin DME and KLR.

Thanks for the help.

As Paulyy said, you use the factory KLR chip. The Rogue tunes utilize a MAP sensor so the DME can see boost pressure and adjust accordingly. Both the A-Tune and M-Tune include the sensor.

I have a Steve R KLR chip as well, but thankfully I saved my stock chip in a safe place. Though I am curious if the A-Tune would work with an aftermarket KLR chip installed.

IIRC some reported knock at idle when using aftermarket KLR chips. I think I would use the stock chip. Maybe Joshua will pipe in however.

You can use any KLR chip with the A-Tune and M-Tune...
I have not confirmed the reported knock events with an aftermarket KLR chip - but if anyone is worried, just use the stock KLR chip.

You'll love it (A-tune), especially the partial throttle response. My car has run so well the past 2 years with it I never put the MAF system back on after I had it smogged.

Yeah a-tune is awesome, i had weltmaister chips before, and i love boost adjustability with a-tune, being able to run 8psi and then 16psi without even need to adjust the tune is awesome!
