WTAC 944 turbo (333pg333) now on Jalopnik

People interested in learning more on a particular topic featured on a generalist website usually search for specialised websites... pretty much a reason why generalist webboards are most occupied by people posting "light" remarks. This applies to car stuff obviously but also to economics, politics, music, and could expand to pretty much any major popular point of interest.
I mean, is a guy who just bought himself a spanking new 918 Spyder be bothered if I mention I don't really like his wheels? I guess not

I was reading the thread bc this is an insane car, looks aside some of the video clips are unarguable. That aside this was a nice hypocritical insert that added absolutely nothing to the thread. You may want to re look at alot of your responses on a crapload of threads bc your not to far from needing that turbo diesel yourself

I'm pretty sure it was me, no biggie, he's pretty new here. I probably was a ***** at some point in something that affected him, I usually manage to redeem myself. I can only suppose he missed the point to which I was replying where it was asserted that we needed to stop treating someone as "irrelevant," and that the person assumed it was because of a swap he performed. I've had Rob on and off ignore, since like I said, I know he isn't dumb, and I assume with maturity, he'll eventually contribute. I'm just hoping with enough people telling him the same thing he'll learn why people respond like they do.
Sorry for whatever I said that got me on your bad side, Travis.

Patrick please kick your fenders a few times and take some sandpaper to the body before you think about letting anyone take anymore pictures as to not offend the LS swap guys
Seriously though I really want to see some crazy time attack underbody aero on the car

Looking at that BMW link Harry I'm yet to see anything redeeming about Jalopnik based on it's reader responses.
ps Rob, I didn't post the pic. It was done in the workshop professionally for a keepsake and to be published in a magazine down here. I don't know how it suddenly appeared on some US site that seems to be propagated by teenagers who can only post forehead slapping gifs and who have no understanding of why a car is built in such a manner. There is no other relevance of this pic to be delved into. There's no secret or otherwise meaning to extrapolate. It's just a frigging picture. It has no bearing on the future of this car. I don't get why it seems such an issue for you? Can we just drop it. I'd be happy for this thread to be closed if the O.P. has even bothered to stick around.

I liked the car back then too but it wouldn't have been as fast around the track. The $111k was attributed to some other car that someone posted on the Jalopy thread. http://go.redirectingat.com/?id=3333...plies&xtz=-660 For some reason this stuck against my build. lol....if it was only $111k over the years I'd be thrilled.

Iam speechless, Pat is not in the US dude, search is your best friend, a cayman cost around 50k in the US in Australia it's sold for over 100k, also if you cant understand why he likes the 951, your are not worthy of owning one, I predict a blown gasket in your future the 951 gods are pissed at your comment.

Fair enough question Carlos and one that I've asked myself over the years. A very long story short...I guess it was just the way things happened. I'd invested what seemed like a fair bit of money back in 2007/08 and had a series of engine failures. As I had a lot of the hardware for a 3L motor I just kept going with trying to just get it done. As time progressed my d.d. became more and more stripped out and the track was where it was best suited. Like many things we become addicted to, going faster at the track was my drug. It's always a matter of one thing leading to another. There was also a part of me that didn't want just another Cup Car (as good as they are) and somehow prove that we could make something worthy of respect with this 944 platform. I never dreamed that it would get to this level and I am still contemplating many more upgrades. If someone calls me a fool, I can't argue. If someone says I followed a bit of a dream, I also can't argue. :-)

So much would a 996tt or gt3 cost in Australia?
