Welcome! Hope you had a great holiday! we've got a great and active community here with lots of really helpful, knowledgeable guys. To start off, make sure the belts are changed if you are not completely sure they were done within the last 3 years or 30k miles. These motors are interference design and will bend valves if the belt breaks. What option codes does your car have? Post some pictures!

It still has Cups on it, very stock (totally in fact, still has the factory Blaupunkt and EQ in the dash..) 80 K on the clock. 2 owners, 2nd owner since '92.
I will post some pics!... When I bring it home! When I bought the car, the weather went all to crap.(10" of snow here) Then of course the holidays.
Soon! Im hoping next week.

Welcome. Assuming you're a 914 guy, what drew you to the 951? What are your plans for the car? These are highly underrated cars. You will enjoy it.

I have always liked the 944's. I grew up in the 70's and 80's. Cars from that era always catch my eye. When it was time to shop for a '44, I decided I wanted a Turbo, and a late one.
My plans are to drive it(I've never owned a Turbo), and leave it stock as long as I can.
I always root for the underdog.
Enjoy it! You bet.

It wont stay stock for long, trust me. These cars punch well beyond what their 247 hp and 258 lb ft would suggest. Getting another 100 or so flywheel hp with the stock turbo is easy and cheap and boost is addictive. A 3 bar fuel pressure regulator, Cat delete, boost controller with boost raised to 18 lbs, a waste gate shim, and a matching chip will get you close to 300 rwhp/rwtq for under 500 bucks.
