Default 951 Multi Disc Clutch.

We should be shipping these new units next week. We had mentioned them in another thread, and here is a teaser picture. We will post more in the next few days as the rest of the information comes our way.

The complete clutch and flywheel weighs 16 pounds. I'll post some numbers on stock clutch kits and flywheels and other clutch kits for comparison.

A lot lighter then anything else out there. It will hold 800 Ft. Lbs. low inertia, infinite rebuildability, strapless shift/actuation.

We will probably also offer it with a lighter spring diaphragm which will make it modulate easier, which will smooth the engagement for much less HP cars who might want to take advantage of the benefits it will offer. For now, they say it will be like a 6 puck metallic, which is their Stage 3.

It will benefit anyone, and some guys will not mind it on the street even though it is not ideal for street.

Can be a real advantage for a stock class race car with open clutch rules.

Genuinely new product for the 951 market, thanks for that.

Should such a set up have any effect at all on the vibrations felt in the clutch pedal after having gone full load in top gear for a while? I have noticed this effect on all the 944T I have driven, each with its particular state of tune.

Is this going to add further stress to the stock fork?

Nice! Too bad it doesn't come with the 60-2 teeth on the flywheel, else it would be my (and Dukes) way to go

Outstanding!

Thom, I assume in looking at this that the fork is eliminated, and the thing with the hoses on the right is a throwout bearing with integrated hydraulic actuator.

Thanks Harry.

Really curious to hear more about this set up. I heard horror stories on Spec clutches, especially twin clutch set ups, but a friend of mine runs the E39 version on his M5 turbo and it's been running great so far...

@robstah - Just curious... Do you EVER have anything positive to say? I don't think there is anyone on RL that pisses on things more often you. What are you trying to prove?

Nomex undies on, so flame away...

You just have to ignore him. He doesn't provide any value whatsoever here. Just likes to be a punk.

Likewise the standard weight crank.

Nice setup Just FYI my current SPEC setup is still working great and I like it and have put 15000km on it without issue.
