Incredible car beyond belief.

Would it be sacreligious of me to say I wish the v8 sounded more Ford and less Ferrari, though?

[QUOTE=lart951;10892367I am not attracted to electric motors. .[/QUOTE]

Yeah, I'm not really either.
The full 880 hp is not available all the time when you're really on it. So, that advertised hp is a little distorted.
Apparently however, it broke the 7 min mark on the ring; so if it had the full horsepower for the entire lap, that wouild be incredible. I have no idea.
Of course I would take one in a heartbeat.

BTW, that car is crazy too but it repeats the Ferrari habit of "really crappy but expensive looking" interiors modeled after old Chryslers...and the name...the Ferrari LaFerrari...kind of like a Renault LeCar...

When the founder dies, his principles die with him and the essence is lost.
It becomes bs mix of marketing and mega surveys and this is painfully obvious with porsche and ferrari.

The best cars has always come from one man vision, not surveys and compromises.

I would test drive them both, and then tell the dealer, "meh, I think I'll just go with an Aveo."

Electric motors and Lithium Ion batteries = ton of weight. What was ever the problem with the super-light, high power layout. Ferrari, McLaren, and Porsche are all sort of imitating one another. Everyone knows 3 of the best cars ever made were the F40, the F1 (McLaren), and 904 GTS. These all shared the commonality of A LOT of power, no weight, and a direct, racing inspired pedigree.

Bring them back pleaseeeeeeeee

Don't think you can put the 904GTS up in that bracket with a max hp of around 180hp. Even power to weight it would get hammered, but I take your point.

Chris Harris test drove the 918 and thought it amazing but kept wondering what it would be like without all the Electrickery on board. Much lighter and still with over 600hp.
