Is that the stock FP or did you go for something a bit more robust? If the latter, what FP did you go with?

TIA

Bosch 044

Don't worry, when finished I will create a write up on this with part numbers, sizes, and prices. Along with lots of pictures.

I'm assuming the Bosch 044 is NOT the stock part, correct?

Thank you, that is a M18 X 1.5 to -8AN SS adaptor?

Sorry, for some reason dimensions did not show up the first time. That is the output side and from what I found this fitting needs to be a banjo bolt style if you want to keep the inspection cover in tact.

I'm running a HV pump not 044. However from that fitting I managed to eliminate using a banjo bolt. Pegaus didn't have the Male 14 x 1.5mm Metric Concave Seat to 8AN Male, Steel at the time I ordered the 6AN.

Attached to the fitting in the photo I put a 6AN to 8AN adapter then a 90 degree 8AN elbow with the cover attached. I thought I posted some pics on RL but I could not find them. If I crawl under the car anytime soon I will snap some photos. I ran -8AN lines from the pump to canton filter and then to the fuel rail.

I am curious as to why you chose -8AN to the fuel line? Maybe, I did not understand you correctly. When you say fuel line do you mean the factory hard line? If so, the ID is much smaller than -6AN and it is over 6' long. Are you running E-85? If so, the HV does not flow enough to keep up with large injectors. Most likely OK for 55# though. Is the Canton filter rated for E-85? Are you using a check valve? Is so, which one? I am learning a lot about this, more bad news today. Hard to know who is the most accurate. The tech line at ANPlumbing.com said not to use my filter and check valve for very long. He said it is OK for a little while but I should switch out quickly to a hard coat anodised aircraft version of check valve. He doesn't like the filter either and recommends a billet with SS mesh filter.

I have replaced the entire fuel line from pump to engine with -8AN braided line and fittings. I run 94 octane fuel...good fuel.

I hold a steady fuel pressure under load. My fuel filter is a billet with mesh filter "Canton". Never had any issues at all with the system.

I chose -8AN for less restriction and adequate flow. I have removed the check valve and the 90 degree elbow at the pump flows much better than the banjo bolt.

OK, now I see why the -8AN, without replacing the entire factory fuel line I feel it is a waste of time. I did the same on my FL car, but that is way more HP and flow than this one. Surprised you didn't go 044 though. Running 94 should be good enough.
