Love your recommendation, even after buying fancy -AN wrench set, quite a few adaptors don't have this size. Your trick works great and leaves no marks at all! Thanks again!

It really sucks that I found this now in the 11th hour, but such is life. Here is the item I need and it is E-85 approved:

I will use the Earl's stuff for temporary until I can order and install this unit. There is no way the Earl's stuff will not last a week. I hate eating the $150 bucks, but since Goodies went under I can't return the Earl's stuff anyway.

What did you buy that you can't use?

See picture below: Honestly, I am not convinced I can't use these, but many have said no. I would rather be safe than sorry. I will exchange them when I get the combined Fuelab filter check valve from Jeg's. I like the compactness of the Fuelab piece as well. It looks like it will mount perfectly to the factory filter mount. I bought a little -6AN fuel pressure gauge adaptor as well so I can see the pressure right after the pump.

Finished the fuel pump relay mod a minute ago. Found a nice place for it in the left rear cubby. High, Dry, & Hiden here, love those weather pack connectors!

Interior wiring complete, and it looks very good to me. I am happy with this configuration. Hard to tell it is even there with the carpet and cover back in.

I pretty much wrapped this project up yesterday. However, when the new filter/check valve combo arrives I will swap the much more compact and E-85 approved piece in. As you can see the Earl's pieces don't make a tidy package, but I did manage to get the assembly clamped into the factory filter location. As you can see no hole is necessary in the inspection cover. This was one thing I did not want to have to do.

One thing that I have noticed is how loud the 044 is versus the OEM pump. I am not sure if it is because I have all of the interior stripped. I have nothing in the back right now, just metal so that might be why. Just in case, I just removed the factory "condom" off of the OEM pump. I might try to install this over the 044 next week.

Fuel lab filter check valve combo is back ordered so won't get it anytime soon. Will post new pics once it does get here. So far non issues with the Earl's setup car is running good.

I'm not running a check valve and things are working great just FYI

I was sitting on the fence about the check valve, but nearly all factory FI cars come with one. Therefore, I decided to retain this feature. Probably never see the difference, but it is not that much more for the dual purpose unit and I like the design of it. Fuel lab makes nice stuff.

Why didn't I think to put the relay in the trunk? Mine is in the passenger footwell (near the ABS brain), I ran the old +12v from the fuel pump there. I may go back and run the grounds back there, I think I terminated them underneath the car where there was already a ground point, but it was also 9pm at night and I wanted to finish and that was the quickest way so it wasn't my best work.

Scott: The reason I did it there was because I had an easy +12 VDC power tap right there for my amp. If not, you would have to pull a new wire. The location is nice and convenient though. Overall, I am happy with the location. The factory ground lead for the fuel pump is terminated at MP1 ground point.

Nice! I'll have to think about what i'm going to do.. Probably going the same way as you, except for the filter/checkvalve combo as i'll just get the checkvalve out!
