Thanks, trying hard to make this nice, but this is a time consuming process. I will complete a procedure for this with part numbers and prices. That way, nobody will have to piece part this together like I am doing. This was much more difficult than I thought it would be. Just found out my -8AN 120 degree fitting has been back ordered from Summit, so have to wait another 5 days minimum. That really sucks!

Please keep us posted. I am interested because the softline from the check valve to the fuel filter on a N/A car does not seem to be available any more. I would love to change this out on my track car to new AN stuff.

BTW, the softline for the turbo is available but for some reason they changed the configuration and it won't work on an N/A.

Looks like you might've already sourced your fittings... but I've had good luck with these guys: http://www.anplumbing.com/

Jim:

Yes that site is quite good, but Summit is near me in NV with free shipping and normally one day delivery with no tax.

I would like to see SS fittings, but doubt very seriously if they have an M18 X 1.5 to -8AN adaptor.

I tell you, it is always something. This project is fighting me tooth and nail. I thought it was going to be so simple, NOT! See pics below; -AN adaptor to connect to factory adaptor is too short to accept factory piece. I will have to machine off .200" on the lathe. Not a big deal, but one of those little things that would have been nice to know in advance. Name: image-2859897364.jpg

I received some but not all parts from Summit today. Some nice braided E-85 "Friendly" hose was the best stuff. I had previously ordered some SS braided hose that turned out to be not E-85 friendly. I also prefer the nylon braid as it is much more flexible and doesn't scratch other parts of your car as Crazy Eddie pointed out to me a week ago on the fuel injector plastic rail cover. I also found a cool Metric Banjo bolt fitting that makes the transition from the FP outlet up and out of the cover much nicer! I also turned down the factory flex hose adaptor .200" today and now it fits perfectly. However, the ID of the factory piece is ~7.0mm versus ~7.5mm for the -6AN. I will drill it out tomorrow to match the -6.

Starting to get the hang of this new phone and app, but not quite. At least the pictures are the right size now. You can see how nice the routing is on the last picture. Yes, you can also see where I scuffed a nut, should have not cheaped out and bought the fancy wrenches. Oh well, **** happens.

To protect the anodized finish, I like to use an adjustable wrench lined with a strip of electrical tape.
Looking good!

I bought two new adjustables, but did not think about the tape! Great idea thanks! You had to really crank on that red nut to seat the hose. I actually thought about wrapping the fitting with electrical tape and said Nah, it will be fine. It wasn't fine, but I can live with this. Probably never see it again after everything gets back up in there.

Here are some pics of the factory wiring and the connector which is mounted up above and to the front of the fuel tank. As you can see, the factory wire is what I believe to be 18 AWG. I know many people left this and wired the 044 straight away, but I would prefer to error of the side of caution. My new wire is 12 AWG shielded pair, so no need to worry anymore. I could probably run two 044's with that.

Reno:

It is the latest update for RL mobile. Funny, before I upgraded to this new IPhone 5S, this version never showed up as available on my 4S. This version is way better! It allows multiple pics and automatically scales them to proper dimensions no matter how big they were originally. It makes posting much easier. Before I had to email pics to myself and resize them on the computer prior to posting.
