Today at the Glen
My son Ben and I decided to take the 89 951 over to the Glen for the noon track tour as our lake house is only 10 mins away.
For $25 they allow you to drive your car 3 paced laps.
When we arrived there were about 35 5th Gen Camaros lined up waiting to do the tour.
So Ben and I went up and stood in line with these guys to get our tickets. When it came our turn to pay the lady asked us for $15.
We paid and got in the back of the line behind the Camaro club.
The guy in front of me, with his special edition 6.2L, asked if I would go ahead of him and his lady friend who was driving her car on the track for the first time and they wanted to lag behind.
So we went out on the track and seeing that this was the Camaro club they paced them fast!
We did 90+ through the S's and hit 120+ on the back straight.
Yeeeee haw!
On the straight he tried to catch me to no avail.
He wasn't too happy about my little 4 banger out performing his 60k 6.2L.
This was $15 well spent.
Porsche.....there is no substitute.

That's a fast pace lap! I can't get up to 120 on a hot lap! (But, I drive an NA...)
Hudson Champlain region will be there Wednesday and Thursday. We won't offer any pace laps, but you're welcome to come watch and hang out in the paddock.

Van,
Do you guys still run in the rain?
Forecast is wet both days.

They probably figured the Porsche would require less track clean up afterwards than the GM products.
