Default Oil pan baffle and oil pickup tube support bracket

Hey guys,

Just working on the finals bits of the engine but still need to do the 2 extra things as above;

Oil pan baffle, can i make one myself? I saw the piece from LR but getting that one here will cost me probably a lot more money than making it myself, does anyone have any pictures of an installed baffle?

The other question; the pickup tube support bracket; i've seen some different setups but which one is the good one? I don't want to weld on the tube as it will weaken it. I just want to get a good solid strip of metal bolted on to the connection on the top..

Gas braze. I did thousands for Perkins diesel engines when I worked for Gates.

Ah ok, that explains it! But still, there is already a bracket on the pipe so why not use that one?

Hmm checked the site but couldn't find anything!

But still; that's just a support bracket; i'm looking into options how to do it myself, not to buy one!

And also the baffle..

yes and yes

I used epoxy -- figured a rigid connection is not 100% required, just support
so there shouldn't be too much force on the interface.
