Question Surprising

Today I got a little bored and Started tinkering with the 951, I've got the boost itch so I've been looking at ways to make more power without spending a ton, I have the 951Max chip installed, the PO had a autothority chip installed when the car was stock that I swapped out when I did the 26/8 turbo, 3" exhaust and dual port waste gate, I've been running 15-16psi, and Im starting to get a little lean 12.1 to 12.3 at full boost, So today for fun I swapped the old Autothority chips in, And
I don't know if Im crazy, but the exhaust note sounds different, my A/F ratio is now 10.5 ish at full boost and the car seems to be running better and pulling better, I even turned up the boost to 17psi.... Does this sound crazy or can chips change that much from make to make?

My old (circa 1992) Autothority chips also ran very rich while in boost. Does your fuel system have enough capacity to handle over 15psi?

It's stock fuel system with a 3bar regulator, I know I was running out of fuel with the 951max chips, and eventually I'll go with a m-tune and bigger injectors, but for now I almost want to keep the autothority chips in (they are from 1995) lol, I fell better with a 10.5-11 A/F then I do with the 12-12.6, what's a good ratio to have under boost?

At WOT you want to be around 11.5-12.

At 10.5 you are leaving a lot of power on the table.

10.5 is a bit rich, remember that the oppositte damage of a lean condition would be too rich, that would cause your cyl walls to be washed with extra fuel, increasing the possibility of cyl scoring

That's a little on the rich side. Double-check with Rogue but I believe FQS #2 is -3.6% which should get you a little closer to where you should be.

I've never messed with the FQS switch, what are the positions and the effects??
