I've used the 928 TB with about 60% the throw of a stock TB and it's ok, but not ideal.

Kristo's 968 Turbo uses BMW TB, not original 951 unit.

Yes, Blown 944 is also using a BMW TB but they are hard to find at a low price.

Shawn, what is considered a low price? Is the BMW a direct fit? Which model unit are they using? If I could get a direct fit upgrade under $300 I would be happy. I wish I still had the specs on my HR unit. I can't find them on the net anymore. It might not be much more than stock. It is over in OK so I can't measure it. I am pretty sure that one was $200-300 back in 2000 so not cheap. It did come with a yellow HR sticker on the TB plate, so had to be worth it! Ha!

I will pressure test it for sure. I am also curios about the idle air screw.

Press off the mustang cam and hog out the porsche cam to fit the stang square shaft

I run a 75mm TB on a 2.3L turbo charged engine with a 63mm FMIC compressor side and 75mm intake side, ported intake to match head and it all works fantastic on the street.

Got the Mustang 65 mm TB mounted today. Everything fits with the 951 pulley screwed to the TB. Just clears the turbo water pump with no modification. I plan to to test drive it tomorrow.

Looking good. That's not the 951 throttle cam in that picture is it?

Hey Shawn. Did I miss something? there is a vac port behind the throttle body in your pic.

Weird -- maybe it's just the picture, but the edges along the top radius look much thicker/wider than a stock 951 throttle cam...

Some of the early TBs were slightly different to the later ones as featuring a "solid" throttle cam as shown here, with a shiny rough aluminium finish and a gold (zinc-plated) throttle blade.

From my extensive eBay research, it looks like those throttle cams may have been used on the 944S throttle body, which otherwise looks the same as a 951...
