That is a standard 2.5l crank and the pistons do look like a stock 2.5l as well the only difference i see are the rods

the crank part number comes back are stock but looks like some lathe work for some reason if you look at picture of crank by the part number.
which I dont understand why

Crank has been lightened. These rods are a different contour/shape than my Carrillo rods (H-beam), but I do think Carrillo also makes an A-beam too. Any writing or markings on the rod bolt heads?

I think that is a casting number rather than official part number, but eyeballing it based on that picture I'd agree with Lart that it is a 2.5 crank (and therefore not part of a stroker set). Lart may be comparing to other casting numbers to know for sure? I'd need a straight view of it to be more confident, but from that angle it does look like a 2.5. You can also just measure the throw to know for sure. A 3 liter (stroker) crank should be 44mm from the centerline of the rod journal to the centerline of the crank (88mm throw in total). The crank weights were probably machined to lighten it a bit and reduce oil foaming/resistance. It's like a mini-version of a "knife-edged" crank.
As for the pistons, check the distance from the top of piton (flat part) to the center bottom of the wrist pin. If I'm reading the tech spec book correctly, that will be 62mm on standard pistons. The andial pistons had a different offset there to prevent the pistons from coming out the top of the engine with the longer stroke crank. So, by my math, the Andial versions would have about 57mm instead. In all, I suspect it's a 2.5 crank with 2.5 pistons, but with nice rods. I guess that's all a long-winded way of agreeing with Lart.

the crank part number does look like stock 2.5 so much likely its been trimmed for weight. will see what scale says.
as to pistons they are 99.5 diameter and front top of piston to center of pins comes back at 40mm
and other thoughts to who makes the con rods? no markings on them i just checked

My Andial kit had Carrillo's H-beam rods and an S2 crank stock in a box from Porsche. I'll see if I can round up a picture of the pistons, but my recollection is the wrist pin is higher, nearly into the oil ring recess.

Maybe a separate post will uncover info on the rods? Carrillo does not show that style beam for the 944 in their current catalog, but a google image search shows other carrillo rods with a strong resemblance. Maybe send a picture to Carrillo and ask them?
