Bump - need to sell. Will consider reasonable offers and would really like to see this go to a good Rennlister home.

I'll do a straight trade for my semi stock and very clean 951.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm not looking to trade at the moment.

That looks to be one very capable Frankenstein car you have there. A bargain for all the parts bolted to it! Best of luck

Do you have any dyno sheets on it?

What about the leak down?

Compression is 140 1-3, 136 in 4. Leakdown 5% across.

CP,

Any idea or reason for hard start/have to 'catch' issue?

Not positive on the startup issues. May be idle control or cold tune adjustment.

It starts, just takes a couple cranks and then holding it at a high idle until warmed up some.

Cold start sounds a lot like when I had my cycling valve removed while waiting for a new one. The old cycling valve was a source of vacuum/boost leak. There was a thread not too long ago about the drivers (transistors in the DME) for the cycling valve going bad and how to replace them - bad drivers would give similar cold start issues I believe. Just a thought...

I agree, ISV issue. could be the motor and if not, likely it is the DME transistors. this is the thread

That car is really beautiful. Don't sell it. Keep it and give it to your kids. They'll never understand if you let that go from the family.

Do you have the late style VR sensor bracket with shielded shaft? If not, this could be the cause.

Hey Jonathon! Hope all is good!

Someone buy this car. We Nautic Blau guys need to keep this car in the family!

Pic of mine! Good luck! If I had the cash, I'd take it off of your hands ASAP. 16V 2.8 is a pretty cool setup!

Obligatory pic of mine...but yours looks better!

AGAIN! Someone buy this thing!
