Default Two unused 6-pin switch connectors behind my center console

Folks, this is probably not a turbo-specific question, but, I found two unused 6-pin switch connectors behind my center console yesterday afternoon.

As an '86, three of six switch positions are populated on my console: sunroof, mirror select, and fader.

The factory wiring harnesses to the two unused connectors are labeled "2", on the left in the first pic, and "4", on the right in same pic.

Connector "4" has four wires going to it: brown, brown/green, yellow, and gray.

Connector "2" has three wires going to it [close up in second pic]: brown, red/blue, and blue spliced with red/black.

Would anyone happen to know what these might have been used for? Central locking [which I don't have]? Rear wiper [which I also don't have]? Anything else?

Thanks for your input.

Rear wiper and power door lock switch connectors. Even though you don't have either option, both connections are still there.

Thanks for the feedback, guys.

Curt, that's what I suspected [central locking, rear wiper]. Would you happen to know which harness, #2 [3-pin] or #4 [4-pin], goes to the power locks?

Off the top of my head, I believe the connector with 3 pins is for the rear wiper, the one with 4 is for the door lock.

I love Rennlist. Where else can you post fuzzy pictures of 25 year old, obscure electrical connectors and get an answer within a day, including which is which.

Good work Curt!

Wouldn't be Rennlist without a Flame for the Blue vampire Connector, - those things suck!
