Default New skin, new shoes. BIG makeover

Well my 88 turbo 'S' finally looks like she should
When I got her the paint on the roof was peeled and faded down to the metal in some places. Had the o.e. d-90 wheels. and to be honest I think rose quartz is the worst color for a sports car
Now she has a full paintjob. whole car was snaded prepped and primed before the new color went on. and has 5 coats of clear. I took the main color all the way to black then pulled it back a shade with silver and added a super fine pearl to it.
at night its black. but in the sun its very dark gun metal. For the two stripes I pulled an interior peice and paintmatched the color to it. so its the same Burgandy/Mauve color as the o.e. interior. and I added some black pearl to darken it up a bit. The wheels are paintmatched to the car and are turbo twists I pulled off a rolled 993. anddddddd heres the before pics

New Hotness:

still had rubbing compound and such all over but had to take one in the sun

Go Home Carerra your drunk!

The paint job looks great! In my opinion the muffler ruins the look from the rear but its your car, if it makes you happy keep it!

Yeah all the VW guys and the M3 guys around here judge me pretty hard for the HKS but it sounds like an animal. and I couldnt pass up a 300 buck muffler for dirt cheap. soooo there it is

It doesn't look like the OP did, though.

Thats the advantage of knowing people.
I went to auto tech in college the same time this guy went to autobody he knew me and there came the hookup.

its pretty good.. its not show car status but I didnt want that This is my daily until I get it sold.
He got all the jams and underhood done took off the hatch and got the jams there. lights and such. so it wasnt just taped off and sprayed there are no runs or orange peel either.

Dude, I'm kidding with you. If you have them with RE11s on them for the track then that is the perfect setup. Those are somewhat rare forged wheels. What do you mean by "back set"?

I mean the back two lol. The *** end slides out with the pirellis on the 17's But I cant afford to put re11s on those being they are good for maybe 15-20k? and its a daily they would get destroyed pretty quick.

but I like to weekend warrior at the track so I threw em on the old 16s for when i do such activities.

really?? Every 928 ive ever seen has these same wheels. unless theres a difference I'm missing.
