Default VDO Boost Gauge Tubing Kit

Hi guys, I need to install a boost gauge temporarily to make sure I didn't change my boost setting from the past. I checked online and found VDO #150851 or #150855 (different adapters) as the right kit for the job. I already have a brand new VDO guage that has been lying around for yrs but cannot find the tubing for it.

Is this setup my best bet or were some of you able to put something together from hardware stores? Trying to avoid the wait from ordering online. The kits don't include the T-fitting needed to tap off the vacuum fitting on the KLR, so I would need to source that as well.

Lastly, what adapter size is recommended? 1/8 or 1/4.

Thanks.

Between Home Depot and Autozone you should be able to put something together. Just take the parts with you and test fit until you find something that works. Easiest way to tap the KLR line is to snip it in half, slip a small piece of tubing over each end, then put a T in the middle of that, then run a line to the gauge.

I have tons of t-fittings if you want one. I can priority mail it to you. If you want, I can also send you the fittings off my old VDO gauge (by old I mean ~2 years old) if you can't find anything quickly.

That would not be my preference. Don't like any additional hoses running through into the engine bay.

T to the KLR feed is clean and easy.

Thanks Scott. I will try some local stores while Modded951 sends me what he has.

This means you would have to plug up the plastic line when your not using it and ruining your orignal line

That's why I say put tubing on there. If you want to remove the boost gauge just pull the T and one of the tubes then reconnect the KLR line straight through. Add tie wraps if you want, but it's fine if you just slip 1" of each end in the correct size tube.
