I like the silver surrounds, might have to try that. Don't sell your car, its been an inspiration to me in a way. I feel like in a way you have the same mindset as me, trying to get the car to perform great on a budget. I basically copied your coilover set up and your idea of a cheap bolt on GT30 got me thinking about the HX35 idea. Fix your car and keep enjoying it. I second the ISV issue. Check this out, might help you.

Doug thanks a lot man for the encouragement means a lot. I'm going to do your repair to the DME before I put the new resistors in. My rise in electrical issues has me even more tempted for a v8 cid swap but we shall see how it goes first I'm going to replace ISV, resistors and o2 sensor and see how she goes. I pick up a free 350 v8 this week that I plan to rebuild for fun.

Wow guys did some basic stuff today.
1) Checked my Injector wires under the boots and man 2 were exposed, had corrosion on them and able to touch each other and then the other two had some wire exposed. I cleaned them separated and used some electrical tape to separate them and put the boots back on. So I'll be ordering some connectors soon and redo all the under the hood pigtails.
2) Big Shout out to Dougs951S I did his DME Transistor fix and man not only did you help with the ISV working poorly my off boost driving improved a huge amount. I have a poor man's version of the M-Tune and when you come to a stop after exceeding 2k RPM it's suppose to hang there around 1,800-2k for a second and then drop to your regular idle and it wasn't doing it for so long that I forgot it was suppose to lol. So I encourage every one to go ahead and replace them babies anyway.

Cup Holder :D
Well got me a new cup holder today
Also received my new seats, they'll need reupholstering but for now they're excellent at $200 bucks lol. The race seats are ok but not excellent quality or super comfy, now they are soaking in horse saddle oil to soften the leather.

well picked up my free chevy 350 engine, full block with heads from an 85 Truck should be around 250hp stock not sure if it's 4 bolt or 2 bolt main my search tells me more likely a 4 bolt but will see. I haven't decided if it's going in the porsche but I'll build it over time for the fun of it anyway just to learn. The engine needs love it's been sitting a bit so full tear down and cleaning is in order.

Found out the engine is newer than expected, 87+. The head casting is for a crappy head that doesn't flow well and I still haven't removed the pan yet to find out if its a 2 or 4 bolt and they made both setups so the engine code doesn't tell me much. Personally if I were to do an engine swap for a v8 it would be carb or TBI, just a personal preference I like less wiring and sensors. I'm building this block for 400hp, the sbc and lt1 are very similar especially since my block is gen II (I think Lt1 are reverse flow if I remember correctly as well) and I agree with Rob best engine to swap in for cost/technology is the 5.3l motor. Originally I thought to get a 5.3l motor carbed and put it in my car but I don't know if that's going to happen.

Essentially there's not a lot of difference between this 87 block and the LT1, the heads (reverse flow), cam and intake. I could always do TBI or EFI and it would be basically the same. I also wouldn't call this an old engine either, its a Gen II 350 which is from 87+ and an Lt1 is a Gen II as well and its newer than my motor in the car.

Well a few updates first, like many excited people I received my Saratoga Top which I am very happy about I've wanted one for several years and honestly the prices were never close to my budget. Thankfully this one was right at the price I was happy with. Thanks again to all who made it happen! I need new paint Hopefully next summer, thinking orange

Got a few projects for this fall and not a lot of time:
First: Braking System, some of you know I'm stronger than I appear and broke my bias valve on my master cylinder. Sadly I have to replace not only the valve but the master cylinder as the other half won't come out. Good news I have ordered a Lart Brand Fluid Res and Lart Brand Bias Valve, brake master, also a new clutch master, clutch slave and new steel brake lines. So this project begins Monday.
Second: Cam Tower Gaskets and Seals, mine is leaking and dropping some oil on my crossover so I might go ahead and use my polished shave tower from Lart.
Third: Driver Wheel Bearing, been humming since God created the earth it's time for a healing. So I place to get the bearing and the arnworx tool for install. I love my flywheel lock from them so excited about a new tool.
Fourth: Interior Work Up, going to get the steering wheel I've been wanting for a while 968 CS Replica Wheel too tight for the original and I like new stuff. Also planning on getting some steel ***** and a gauge panel for the center console. More to come keep posted

Now I am trying the Girling Master on the ATE Booster, going to try to see if adjusting the boost rod that attaches to the pedal to give the correct pressure. Figure I'd see if they are interchangeable or not, seems to be a lot of mixed reviews. I personally will think it will work with the rod adjustment.
