Default Transmission 2 mount vs 1 mount

Sorry, hope this isn't a dumb question.

I did a little digging, but couldn't find an answer. Will a 2 mount transmission mount up using the single mount like in some transmissions?

My transmission is on its way out. I found one with two mounts and I think that mine is a single mount setup.

Every early trans I've seen has the same bosses for the late mount on top.

Yes, you can swap the brackets, but keep in mind, if you have a late model 944 1985.5+, and mount an early transaxle, you will not retain your speedometer. The early cars speed was derived off the spindle, not off the transmission sensor like the later cars. You will have to add an aftermarket sensor kit off the axle.
