Default Oil cooler lines repairable?

Not sure why i've left this so long but my oil cooler lines are kinked on each elbo. Not sure why but they are.. and one is leaking from the clamp.

So is it worth fixing the kink? is it even possible? I'm not worried about the leak as i can go to any hydraulic shop and fix it.

Or should i just go braided lines?

braided is nice and durable but you might invoke some four-letter words while installing them because they don't flex a whole lot. i went to thick rubber hose for my current oil cooler setup, sooo much easier.

I had read a post, way back when, where someone took his old PS lines to a hydraulic shop and had them fix it. I think they came out great and were way less expensive to fix than buying new ones from Porsche ( but that's no surprise )
If i remember correctly they have to cut off the skirt on the connectors but still use the orig connectors
Good luck

That's what i was talking about i can even get replacement hose, no issue. But the steel elbos are kinked. I'm wondering if i can get the kinked elbos repaired

Pauly,

How did you solve this issue? What kind of fittings did you use to connect the lines to your engineblock? I'm looking for hoses myself as well. I do have the old lines and the are oke so would it be best to just tear off the crimpskirt and push some new lines on the and crimp them back?

If you go AN i would use AN12 to M22 P1.5 adapters "4" and AN hoses. My car does not have the stock oilcooler any more so cant show you ..

Oke thanks! I'm not going to use the stock oil cooler as well, probably will be using something like Mocal. A friend of mine has a crimping machine so i can just get the skirts of the engine side fittings and get some new hose on there with new skirts and on the other side i'll be using AN i guess, i was just wondering if there were any pictures of this setup!

I don't know if this photo helps at all, but I thought I'd post in in case it might. This is a set I bought from Lart.
