CEP Tom. Not sure on the differences. The CEP is made of the correct metal which is precision ground 1045 steel (not sure on the PM version pictured here) and I believe is a little cheaper.

Patrick:
In the picture just posted, why does it appear some teeth are missing between the 12 & 1 O'Clock position? Is this normal?

2 missing teeth is so the cps knows where tdc is.

Yes, I assume all flywheels have a missing tooth or teeth. The stock 951 ringear has 132-2 teeth and a lot of aftermarket ECU's find it difficult to get a clear signal between each tooth. That's why I've swapped to the one on page 1 of this thread. The one above is an alternative version.

Interesting, never noticed before or just plain not paying close attention. I assume you must change starter gear? That gap seems pretty large is precise timing not critical of the CPS? I know I mounted chopper wheel behind districutor rotor, is this method not good? I used this method because of your aforementioned statement. LR told me I could not get good reading from the FW.

It's the first tooth after the gap that the EMS uses as reference so it is very precise.

Also to note, it’s not just this missing tooth that the ECU reads from. That’s just one of the reference points. Otherwise there would be no need to go to a FW with less teeth. The ECU actually reads a signal from each tooth and between each tooth, therefore having less teeth vs the stock ring gear makes the signal a lot clearer and not prone to errors.

The stock 951 ring gear actually does not have any missing teeth. That's why it needs the reference sensor and pin on the flywheel.

Oops, much clearer picture now! Guess I have too many other cars. Have not seen my 951 clutch assembly in so long forgot about separate starter ring gear.

Yes of course. What is the flywheel in your picture from? It looks to have 60-2 teeth also. Aftermarket or S2 or ?

How do you find the 6 puk? Is it brutal taking off or reversing? I'm going to an unsprung 4 puk.

When breaking in the clutch, the engagement is very harsh and can really shake the car. Once broken in, it's fine and you just have to remember to be firm with it. Slipping the clutch at low loads is tricky; like trying to slowly roll into the garage. It grabs fast and I've never had it slip with either the 968/S2 hybrid engine or the K27 2.5L. Be fast on and off the pedal and you will love it, but sitting in traffic sucks.
