Question Ok...here is a question...

So I have been thinking about selling my 951 for a bit now, I need cut down on the car fleet that I own ( wife thinks I dump too much $$ in the 951). SO there is a guy that wants to trade straight across a 93 GMC Typhoon Black/Black with 84K miles and a new trans for my 951.... I'm torn due to the fact I would really like to have the chance to own another GM Turbo car( I own a Buick GN for about 2 yrs) but part of me thinks that I will end up dumping a TON of $$ into it the way I want..... but no of this really needs to happen, I have just been throwing around the idea of selling my 951....its not a MUST .....yet...hahaha

So world of Rennlist... what would you do??

Thanks
Carl

No because like most here, you'll end up buying another one again because you'll miss it..

I agree, the wife is the issue... not the car(s).

I worked at a dealership when Syclones/Typhoons were new. We couldn't give them away. Huge rebates and they just sat there for ages. Twenty years later and I still wouldn't want one.

I really like my 951. It is a fun car to drive. I have thought about getting a different car, but everytime I do I drive the 951 and remember why I like it so much.

A typhoon or sysclone would be fun, but it isn't the same. It all depends I would think about it if you know for sure you won't want another 951. Its better to know the beast you have then the beast you don't.

From what little I know of the Typhoon/Syclone - it's the front diffs and transfer cases that have problems.

IMO neat trucks, I always liked them. But they're kinda like the old DSM's (Eclipse/Talon/Laser) - 0-60 move pretty good thanks to the AWD but run out of steam pretty quick after that. Plus, it's a small truck... handling and corner carving not their forte.

I guess if you're looking to have fun, stoplight-to-stoplight, it could be a fun ride.

I personally would never trade a 951 for one, though.

I have a light to light racer.... its an 8300lbs 2008 Ford F 250 with 578hp and 1328tq.... 4x4 is the ONLY way it some what can get traction.....hahaha
I just think it would be a fun vehicle to own......I have had my 951 for about 8 yrs now, Im not getting tired of it but for what I have done to it... it should be faster. Everyone on that rides in it says its fast but to me it doesnt feel any faster with the Big turbo than it did the small one.... idk... just itching for something different I guess...

I say keep the 951 and get rid of one of your other cars. If you got two that you won't miss then do that.

sell another car and keep the 951. You'll just end up buying another one. I know I did.
