A couple people mentioned the splitter, but i'd really just like an ABS splitter. I have a fiberglass one, but have not installed...i'm certain i'll smash it within a month of installing it. Wish i had never bought it.
- Better, not-too-expensive front control arms that are easily serviceable
- A back seat elimination kit (DIY pre-cut screw/glue together wood panels, plus carpet)
the more examples i survey, the more empirical evidence strongly suggests;
944/968 engines are scant little more than disposable engines.
it's astonishing how many big-money-in projects end badly,
or what racing programs based off this platform end up costing.

To keep things on the topic of the thread, I've decided to use a part/feature I've never used before, the ignore feature. Like the pleasant quiet experienced after fixing a squeaking hatch, I don't have to be subjected to the annoyance of odurandina any more.
I must be the only one that has never liked the looks of the CPR splitter. The ABS was nice, but I think it looks bad.
+1
The CPR is not an attractive splitter. If someone is going to take the time to design an injection-molded ABS splitter, please make it look like more than a curved piece of flat ABS.

Reproduction batwings would be nice too...can't seem to find a non-cracked one for under $200.

I know there are the tubular arms available, but why hasn't anyone made a single-piece arm? The bushings and balljoints are basically one one plane anyways, so why not just trace a control arm onto a piece of 3/4" steel or aluminum plate and cut the shape out? Cut the voids out for lightness, should still be plenty strong. Make it accept the early 944 ball joints ($22 and bolt on)...

Sounds like you have an idea there. Hmm. I know a Metallurgical Engineer that has a side business. hmmmmm
For 2x the cost of the RX7 modded arms, I could build my version of "charly arms" with replaceable ball joints. Problem is, they are no stronger than the modded RX7 arms and are not adjustable for early and late offsets either.

Are the RX7 arms cheaper than stock? How much are the modified RX7 arms?
