I know this car. Built well. I'm sure he wants what it's worth.

George that car has been for sale for a while. I guess no one wants to pay the asking price.

George,
Seems like this car is the flavour of the last month or three. Numerous threads/posts about it with the underlying impression that it's a tatty example of a once very nice car. In the U.S. the dollars being asked are why it's never going to sell. Think it's been for sale for some years now.

Speaking of famous 3L cars...what's up with yours at the moment? Seems like it's been ages since you've been doing the rebuild. (lol...I know I know, Pot-Kettle-Black) I assume you sorted out those issues you had and it should be back together. What's the progress?

I definitely wouldn't say it's a tatty example. Seeing as he has been in the 951 game for a while, he should know that asking that much for the car is just asking to sit on it forever.

Tatty might be a touch strong but those photos certainly don't do it any favours. I'll say it looks a bit tired then. With a few dollars I'm sure it could be brought up to superb again, but you're already being asked to spend $50k on it. He'll need to drop that by several thousand before someone bites.

Back when I first bought my 951 at the end of 2000, I used to peruse the Powerhaus, Windward and Huntley Racing websites, trying to decide which tuner to buy my MAF / Turbo / etc. mods from. Back then, Powerhaus was one of the big players in the 951 game. I remember a great article in European Car magazine, that featured three Powerhaus tuned cars - the red 951 and a couple of 930's. I must have read that article a dozen times, they were talking about how much power it would take to crack 200mph. I had a few photos of that 951 on my computer and used of dream of owning it. Ah the good old days!

Dammit, I should stay off the 944 Turbo forum...makes me miss my old car.
