Understood snugglepush buttonline is all research on importing/insurance/transport fees should have been done before contacting a seller. not only that but you said I like to give deposit and pick up by saturday. that was the deal I was going on. but you really were not really to deal.( I think you just got excited on a $6000 car and was hoping it was in top shape) anyhow no problem. this is the times we lives in when trying to buy and sell a car.
quote
"and then after that, you sold the orignal wheels and the tires currently on it are completely finished."
this comment I have no idea what you mean. yes original wheels have been sold but wheels in picture are included and yes tires need to be replaced as I reported in email.
as to PPI I might as well tell you before the hassle of me going in for one that the dealer will say you need another $5000 to repair all items. hense the term no such thing as a cheap porsche. so after having said that you can now see why there is no point on me(and Michelle) spending a day running around to find out what I just thought is safe to say what a dealer will report back when dealing on a $6000 porsche turbo.
again lets not go back and forth . your not interested thats fine .
car will sell either way.

Very well put. I;'m also selling a porsche 944 turbo on kijiji. I can;t stand how cheap ppl are when it comes to these cars. Want it for nothing and in pristine condition. If these cars were MINT with low kms they would be selling for much more obviously. Just to state the Obvious, these cars are old, and if you enjoy them to the fullest they have been drivin. So go spend 16-20k on a mint one if thats what you want. Then replace all the rubber under the hood

code 758 is the designator for Sliver Rose SE cars, NOT Turbo S.
just as code 757 is the designator for Jubilee / Celebration SE cars
BOTH of which were made in model year 1988, and had the same pattern cloth interiors, but in a different color. Jubilee SE cars had the silver plush carpeting and grey and black pattern cloth, the Silver Rose Turbo's had the coloring in Burgundy with burgundy carpet.
this was a real 'silber rossa' 944 T

respectfully;
you are reading this wrong.....the decoder is saying " on the 1988 Turbo S, there is a variant, it is Sliver Rose option, coding as 758."
not all Turbo S cars have 758 designation in their coding,
ONLY the special edition Silber Rossa car which carries this option
I know, as I have one of each. 758 only appears on the Silver Rose, and on the M030 car it does not have it, as its a different color entirely.
And the 944 Jubilee/ Jubilaum car carries 757 designating it as the SE Celebration model issued to commemorate the 250,000th - 911, and the 100,000th - 944 , both of which were built in 1988.
I own one of those also.....
some pictures of which are on the 944 Celebration / Jubilee SE site.
And, the interiors of each are EXACTLY the same plaid wool cloth on the seats surfaces and door panels, BUT a different color/ Lt. Burgandy and dark Burgandy in the Tutbo S and Dark grey/ lt. grey in the Normally aspirated 944 in both the Zermatt and the Satin Black cars.

and further:
do not believe there were ANY of the lower powered turbo 944 cars with the Silver Rose trim; only came on the final higher powered Turbo S cars made in the last of 1988 and later continued on into 1989 as the prevously known 944 Turbo , ONLY.
No Turbo S designation, as that was only the marketing name for latter built , higher powered cars from the previous year.
Most all of this info can be backed up by reading the 944 Turbo S Registry page........
on the remaining built 944 Turbo S cars in other color combinations, I have never seen one with a 758 designator as option code . Just on those with the special silver rose paint.
Any out there with a tag that shows this differently ? I would be the first that would love to see it. Seems there is still alot of discussion still being ferretted out on these rare and unique cars Porsche built.

great info I am on the same page with you. I too would like to see if the non SR cars turbo S say 758.
I have seen another labeled turbo S car non SR and sticker didn't say 758.
I guess going back to my car it is a silver rose 758 turbo S.
you know what has me wondering why does the engine code on label say 51 if its the 250hp car should it not say 52?

after some thought on this, I went to the old Turbo S registry that is inactive, where folks had listed their car, the model, the vin, name of owner, the option codes, etc.
There were 3 !!! cars made after the silver rose edition as 88's that had various other colors listed with the paint codes attached to their record on file.
Those 3 cars listed a code of 758, but MANY did not....... curious.
An anamoly or something more to this story from Porsche we are now learning ?
Were they all an error of recording ? Were they originally to be Silver rose, and the paint got changed either by the owner or the dealer ?
OR, mistakes by Porsche ?
This is the first I have any knowledge of this happening on 1988 model year Turbo S cars. Truly thought all Turbo S in Silber Rossa were coded 758.
Also should note that all Silver Rose cars listed there , also had the 758 code. AND, not all variant colors had any mention of the 758 code, only those 3.
hmmmmmm..................
more mystery

my understanding of the engine codes are that they were all # 52 engines of the 247 hp rating that went into Turbo S Silber Rossa cars
Were the Canadian cars or ROW cars different ?
Were there some few that got caught in the changeover with the old engine ?
Imagine paying more, or expecting more and getting the old engine instead ?
I'd be mad , and THEN some.
