I am suprised the seller is using the take-it-or-leave-it format. I would think he would have better luck with an auction format. He could protect himself with a reserve. It is a rare, specialized car that is difficult to place a value on.

I'm sure it's only on there for advertising. If a serious buyer is interested, a deal will be made. You can see that it worked though. Cause we all just checked it out!

I don't see anyone dropping that kind of cheese on that car, history or not

It was on eBay in September. Auction had a starting bid of $50,000 and a BIN of )110,000. I negotiated a sub 6 figure purchase price contingent on an acceptable PPI. After my acceptable PPI, the seller backed out of the deal and more than doubled his asking price. Potential buyer beware! Get your deal in a written contract or you may waste money on a PPI and then he won't sell the car to you.

Wow. That's fraud. Probably not worth your time personally to pursue but you could easily sue for your PPI and time invested filing the charges/scheduling the PPI.

I thought I had seen it on ebay a while back. Nice car but good luck finding someone to buy it for that price tag.

I noticed the last auction at $110K and wondered what happened ...

Seller must have gotten wind that it was worth more. Definitely not very nice to back out on an agreed sale.

Yep. I remember the last auction. Sounds like the owner got a bit too proud.

why does a lot of 944 wide bodies all look like that on the back (not closed off?) just weight savings? never did like that look, kinda looks slapped on.

100% aerodynamics. There is a high pressure zone inside the wheel wells.
