Does it need a full teardown or just new oil every 4 hrs and bearing inspection every 8 hrs of track time ?.

Yes, the flexing can cause head gasket issues in nay style block - but the block flex problem also starts showing up in odd main bearing wear.

The better way is to do oil analysis between events. Its cheap and if it comes back with bearing material in it then you need to take a look inside.

Also look for any changes in hot oil pressure, that is usually the first noticeable clue.

Good point. Think I read somewhere there's an oil feed to another area that reduces the flow to number 2 big end ?.

Sorry it was a hectic weekend so didn't get the chance to contact you.

105.5 bore and 2.5 mm added stroke would give ~3164 cc.

The weather changed for the better and yesterday it was warm enough to eat lunch outside

Of course, no good shop would start machining a crank or block without measuring everything first.

A dry sump system would most likely have avoided this. Too bad my dry sump wasn't installed yet

Did the piston make it?
Selling the leftovers?

I told you not to buy the bearings and rods at Biltema...
And now you're gonna put some rods from a Colt in there? ;-)
