Very interesting! What a gorgeous time capsule... neat to see some of the Aussie differences. I wondered about that clutch reservoir too! Looks like the fuel lines have a different entry/exit point as well (maybe that was all later 951s).

There has been an 'underground' feeling that perhaps RHD cars did have a different brake feel and were also prone to a softer pedal. Makes sense in that there are more levers to move and travel. Never been totally proven one way or the other.

Super nice car! You can even see by just looking at the surface of the dash that it is a low mileage car (speaking about the surface look, not cracks etc)

Late 944 ('89-'91) sold in the nordic countries had a US spec rear bumber which was never used on cars sold in the central europe. Nordic cars also had US style bumber shocks (front & rear) which were not used on cars sold in central europe. Porsche made a lot of different variants of these cars.

RHD MK 1 Golfs had a similar setup and lost some feel with the linkage.
