racerx rick, I'm game for a meet-up before letting her go, just say when and where! Maybe Sentinelist would be interested, along with other DFW folks, too.

Question about your car
I think I may be buying your car - looks like you traded it in within the past few months. The dealer showed an "accident" on carfax back in Feb 2012. Can you give me some insight on this? Thanks

Yeah the guy that bought it called and said he wanted to get something more modern and was trading it in. I had to provide my DL to commedate since he hasn't transferred the title yet. Anyway, the accident occurred over I Las Colinas while driving to work. A fella in a BMW failed to yield as I made my way through an intersection. He hit the rear driver side qtr panel. It was a light hit, in fact the driver was unaware that he hit my car. I had it repaired at the same place that repainted it a few years ago.
Anyway
Good luck with the sale. I even thought about buying it back if I could get a deal on it but we i don't think my wife would be too thrilled. May I ask what the dealership was asking for it?

There also was a question as to if the driver impacted the wheel. I think he did judging by the black marks on the front of his silver 3-series. I had don at Istook's later check for any underlying damage due to that. He found none but I did bust a CV (pass. side) about a week before the car was sold. (Replaced with new oem from Zim's)
Did the dealer get all the records for the maintenance? If not contact Istook's and Zim's. They did most of the work over the years.

This car is back home to Rennlist. I just purchased it from a local auction and its still a beauty! I'm selling it because...well that's what I do. The proceeds will go to my 996 build.
$6800 and as far as I can tell, only 2 dime size door dings and no subs or amp.

That is a good price. Nice purchase. I wish it had been for sale last month. Now bring it Saturday to the 928OC Breakfast. So I can drool and kick myself.

Here is the meeting information for the monthly 928 gathering.
I would like to see some 951 owners there to network and learn about the car more. It's always a good time.
Join us this Saturday, February 2nd at 8am for Breakfast at:

Everyone is invited. Driving or Owning a 928 is a Privilege, but not a requirement for coming to this Porsche 928 Chat Session and Breakfast.

Very nice .
I wondered how in the heck that its paint was SO good in the first pics.
My car is readying for possible entry in the Texas 1000 rally this year and is in about 99% condition when the brakes and wheels are cosmetically restored. I may have to have some paint work done as that one sure popped with the new paint. Mine is still original.

Call Scott Hair of you want him to make your original paint pop. He did wonders to mine before the repaint but it only lasts 6 months or so before the sun destroys it again.

Thanks Danny.
Mine is just getting a few dinks and such after 27 years . With it being in 5 or 6 car shows a year, the final thing it needs is some paint.
Who did that paint job BTW?

Dany951 how's it going. The buyer is local and a great guy too. I sent you an im about trying to get any records of the car or some insight on the mods. If you have anything, would it be possible to get them from you? I'd appreciate it. Do you also remember what you paid for on the paint job? I'm in need of a good place and the paint on your old 944 is insane!
