Ive been having a hard time holding my tongue. Pretty slick setup. What I personally like about it is the ability to have such a large t housing that in the end will make more power and allow for much more radical setups to remain civil. I'm sure one will migrate onto my car at some point

Sweet!!
Now you guys need to develop a package deal! I want to be able to buy everything needed to make that setup work including the turbo and that fancy plenum with a few swift clicks of my mouse!

Producing a bolt-on "kit" is possible... but does require quite a bit of hardware, and wouldn't exactly be cheap.
Minimum, it would require:
Turbo (including Dave's mods to make it work in this configuration).
Brake Master heat-shield.
Up-pipe to turbo.
Down-pipe.
Intercooler piping.
Intake manifold.
VNT control/logic Box (3Bar MAP sensor for those who don't have one already).
And probably something else I'm forgetting.

I'm loving it. I guess the v8 isn't needed for low end torque. How will the bottom end hold up with this big turbo? Will it only use speed density or will it use the same maf/map setup?

Yep - we are jumping posts, lol.
Dave's car is stock bottom-end (so is mine), so as long as you are reasonable with boost pressure, and tuned right, it shouldn't be an issue.
Dave runs my M-Tune, and that is obviously what I would suggest running. The Tune must take into account the variable boost threshold.

Nice work gentlemen! Looks like my shortblock idea, just mushroomed into a sick trick package. Maybe I should wait another six months to see what else you guys can dream up. Awesome work and ingenuity, VNT on a 951 SWEET!!!

Sweet jesus you guys are incredible! I've been wanting to do this for a while but thought it not feasible. Are the EGT's tolerable by the turbo in a long term scenario? Wish I lived closer to you gentleman!
