Default Getting rubber out

What the cheapest what to get the rubber out of the suspension. The Racers Edge makes great products but the $ is pretty nuts est on a car this old..

Powerflex makes every bushing for the 944/951/968 in poly, and they're definitely least expensive I've found. Good stuff too.. I have replaced all the front suspension bushings with their stuff, and I think it works great.

Which application did you get? 70, 80 or 95? I was thinking of upgrading myself. I may just do the 968 rubber though because it's a little harder rubber than the stock bushings. Don't know yet but would also appreciate some feed back.

Go big or go home!

Elephant racing parts have done well for me on the 951...

Racers edge are equivalent minus the seals.

Not sure what you mean about 70, 80 or 95... I just got what's listed here as 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. I think it works well.

No doubt that the monoballs are awesome, just pricey, and, I would assume, a bit harsh... I'm pretty sure the local authorities method of maintaining the roads around here is to make a sandwich and fall asleep on the couch... I like my spine, and I've decided to keep it.

If it is a street car, replace the rubber with rubber. If you see any track duty, get the good stuff. The geometry of the suspensino requires compliance for alignment. I don't know how or why people run Delrin (Racer's Edge sells Delrin bushings, too) or other non-speherical bearing aftermarket stuff. The rubber is compliant enough to allow the arms to pivot, and of course the spherical bearings do, as well. Delrin? Not so much so.

Look half way down the page. Yellow purple or black. The color and/or grade determine the overall rigidity.

It looks like those polyurethane bushings might be the ticket.

Are the Delrin A arm bushings streetable? Back in the day, I used Delrin mono ball bushings in the rear trailing arms of my 65 Corvair, evrything was good till I crossed over the Bots Dots on Hwy 101. I heard this god awful racket coming from the back of the car, sounded like someone was beating on it with a baseball bat!
I pulled off the road and looked around everything looked goosd, then the light came on the new bushings Oh MY GOD what have I done!

Would like to change my front A arm bushings but don't want to go through that kind of truma again!
On a side note I bought a full set of the Welt bushings years ago but I never installed them because Welt says not to use them on a tracked car...

Csn the power flex bushings be tracked?

I was always concerened about this because ..you can never tell when you might accidently wind up on a race track! Hence the Koni dbl adjustables front and back, coil overs camber plates etc,etc never touch any of that stuff but I like to be prepared!
