I have one with 10 hours on it if you are interested.

Can you get to 400 hp with just a turbo swap? (with supporting mods of course, don't really car if to the wheels or at the crank)

Sure, so long as "supporting mods" includes injectors and chips/piggyback. I saw 347whp/354ft-lbs @ 18psi on 91 octane with the old VR stage 2 with quickspool. That's pretty much 400 crank hp with conservative boost on average pump gas. I could probably have squeaked out 400 whp if I wanted to do a glory run, but I was just interested in tuning the car in the configuration I'd drive it at the track.

Yep got all that! 89 TS 18 psi on pump gas and 21psi going from 4400 ft to sea level(forgot to reset MBC! And 23psi when the ECB failed! Opps

K, I'll just keep watching now thanks!

So then you realize how conservative 18 psi really is. The VR stage 2 has a much higher efficiency range than the 26/8, meaning at 18psi it is heating the air much less than a 26/8. This heat is what really kills headgaskets, not the pressure.

BTW, I just have the most basic setup for this. I have the old SMT-6 with no v-flex and the car drives great on the track and on the street this way. I can only imagine what can be had with v-flex or m-tune and several hours on the laptop.

From what I have measured (from a claimed stg 2) it is a 57trim with a lightened Stg 3 turbine wheel and 8cm hs.

Again this is what the turbo is supposed to be.

Good try, but no cigar!

Vitesse stage 2 turbo specs...... Oh, oh, can I try ?

How about a T04E 50 trim with a lightened comp wheel and maybe a few other mild mods mated to a turbonetics #8 replica with a stage III turbine wheel. Did I win ?

When it comes to Best Bolt on Turbo's - the three that come up most often are -

K27/6 or "Big 6" ( #6 with clipped turbine blades - similar to what powerhaus used to call their "Quick spool" )
To4e 50 or 57 trim / 8 stg III
To4b 60-1 Hi - Fi - / 8 stg III

Vitesse makes a street turbo that people seem very happy with, but we aren't 100% sure what it is, and John is keeping his intellectual property to himself !

I have the k27/big 6 and I really like it. Max boost at 3100 rpm on a 4th gear roll.

Call Charlie at Evergreen Turbo in Florida. He can hook you up with any of the above combinations.

I know a lot about the Vitesse turbos, I have installed a bunch of them.
The specs –
two inputs and outputs (4 if you include the oil and coolant) and two little spinney things inside.
I think there were supposed to be some really little actors or sumthing like that because it was supposed to have some sort of stage. I couldn’t even find the fancy curtins to go with the stage, so I guess the actors fell out of it.
Maybe it was supposed to be some sort of fancy peep show, I was told that there was some sucking and blowing goin’ on in there. Mine must have been busted, I didn’t see any of that stuff…..maybe I have to wave some singles in front of it?

Send it to Fred Willard. He knows just how to fix it.

My first 951 had a vitesse stage 2 on it when i bought it in 2006. That was a great kit and turbo. I put down 342 wrhp on that car at 17psi on pump fuel. it had head work and exhaust/wg but it was stock bottom end.
