Help: can't remove valve springs with engine in car

I used a thick, hard plastic tube, which I drilled out to 9 or 10mm in the center. I also had locktite on the valve guides. Unfortunately the guides are the old style so you might be right that it won't last.
Next time head is comming off, bigger valves, porting etc. You know the drill....
The old seals were put in before I got the car. Its difficult to see if they are the original ones or if they vere changed over the years. The car has done 150.000km, and the head had some job done to it at about 100.000km.

BTW - it doesn’t apply to this job since it done - but always stuff the open injector and spark plug holes with paper towels! Things just have a magical way of disappearing down the openings when you least expect it!
